Our updated list of needs
We urgently need eight Americans to step up and file the Form I-134.
The I-134 “Declaration of Financial Support” is a non-binding, no-cost online form that is required by the US federal government before a Ukrainian is considered for humanitarian parole.
We need more housing units.
If you are part of a rental company with vacant units, or may have a connection that can lead to more housing units, please reach out to us.
We are able to make competitive offers to secure housing units.
We need more minivans.
As we scale up fast, transportation is proving to be one of our most immediate needs. Each used minivan purchased by the organization costs around $3,000. Insurance and other expenses add about $1,000 per vehicle. If you want to help in an impactful way, please consider contributing to this need.
We need press coverage, to help mobilize more support.
We have found that traditional news media outlets are an amazing way to mobilize support, to help meet all the needs we listed above. If you have an idea for how we can move forward on this, please get in touch!
We need to form a formal board of directors.
Our organization was born out of a crisis, and made do with an ad hoc board of directors for its early days. Now, as we grow our model and significantly scale up our resettlement work, we need qualified candidates to become members of a more formalized board, with a regularized schedule of meeting, and clearly defined responsibilities. If you are interested, do reach out.
